Family Medicine: LEADERSHIP

Rodger Mattson, DO, is a board-certified family practitioner. He joins LewisGale Physicians Family Medicine and the active staff of LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. 
 

Dr. Mattson earned his medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He continued his education with his internship and residency at Eastmoreland Hospital in Portland, OR. Dr. Mattson is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. 
 

Dr. Mattson has been practicing family medicine for more than 15 years. He has also been part of the graduate medical education program for over eight years, most recently at Texoma Family Practice in Denison, TX, as the program director. In addition to seeing patients from the Blacksburg community at LewisGale Physicians Family Medicine, Dr. Mattson serves as program director as the Family Medicine Graduate Medicine at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery.
