Application Notes:
Applications are accepted through ERAS for Transitional Year and Transitional
Year / Dermatology Linked programs.
Our program is a one-year training experience that fulfills clinical prerequisites for specialty training. Allowing preparation for fields such as dermatology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and radiology.

Provides a general year of training with exposure to various fields of clinical medicine

13 block schedule

Two four-week elective rotations

Program meets armed forces commitment

Four weeks of block nights; attending hospitalist or house officer is always present to review admissions and educational opportunities.

Flexible curriculum within ACGME requirements.

Rotations in family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, and OB/GYN

Three months of a general internal medicine

One block of ICU

Two-week surgical selective rotations in areas such as orthopedic surgery, urology or gastroenterology.

Interns are permitted to go out of our system for non-hospital rotations with appropriate approval by the DIO and with program letters of agreement.
